This Bill amends The Workplace Safety and Health Act to
prohibit employers from requiring employees to wearΒ 
specific styles of footwear, such as high-heeled shoes.

No footwear requirement
4.0.1(1) An employer must not require an employee to
wear a specific style or design of footwear, such as
high-heeled shoes.

Exception
4.0.1(2) Subsection (1) does not apply
(a) if the requirement is related to reasonable
hygiene or safety concerns in the workplace; orΒ 

(b) if the employee is a model or is performing in a
movie, television production, play, musical or dance
production, ice skating show or other similar type of
production.
