“Canada Day gives us a chance to celebrate our great country and to reflect on the many blessings that we have as Canadians.
“Today, as Canada celebrates the 142nd anniversary of Confederation we can celebrate our country’s past achievements and to look forward to our future successes.
“Canada Day is a chance to show appreciation to previous generations that have laid the foundation for our great country.”
“Canada Day provides us with an opportunity to reflect on all of the blessings we enjoy as Canadians. I encourage you to take a moment today to think of our Canadian Forces operating at home and overseas who defend our freedom and democracy.
“I will be celebrating Canada Day at Assiniboine Park in my riding. I invite all Manitobans to enjoy free admission to the Winnipeg Zoo as well as entertainment and fireworks at Assiniboine Park.
“I wish all Manitobans a safe and happy Canada Day. May God keep our land glorious and free.”
